It is with great joy that we share with you impressions from an unforgettable evening held in Claygate, where the children of BH School London showcased exceptional talent, creativity, and their love for their homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
An Evening of Music and Emotions
Nedim warmly welcomed everyone and set the tone for an evening filled with music, emotions, and togetherness. The audience enjoyed a diverse program β from the solemn tones of the BiH national anthem performed by Amila and Leyla (violins), to emotional solo performances by Tara (piano) and Emran, who played the song Lejla on guitar. The orchestra, led by Samir and DΕΎanan (guitars), accompanied by Bilal on saxophone, brought liveliness, rhythm, and strong energy to the entire evening.
RAP Music Video β an Original Project by BH School Londonβs Children
Special applause went to the RAP video β a creative project directed and performed by the children of BH School. Through a blend of traditional values, native language, and contemporary rhythm, they demonstrated how the culture of the ordinary Bosnian person can be presented in a modern, authentic, and artistically expressive way.
Heartfelt Thanks!
We thank the SuljiΔ family (Alija and Adisa) for sponsoring the venue, Nedim for his warm welcome, our dear volunteers for organising, and the hardworking ladies for preparing delicious Bosnian dishes.
More Than a Gathering
Although it was school holiday time, the evening brought together many people and showed how much unity and culture mean in our diaspora. Guests from all over England – from Bristol to Eastbourne – confirmed how much such gatherings matter to us.
